USA Wrestling, the organization that regulates all wrestling in the United States, requires that all youth wrestlers purchase a USA Wrestling Card Membership before participating in any USA Wrestling sanctioned events, including club practices, camps, clinics, etc. Athletes and Coaches must purchase/renew their membership annually for insurance purposes.
Under our registration tab on the home screen, there is a link to their log in page. There is also a link to a tutorial video if you need help. Our program ONLY requires a limited membership for $15 a year.
Please write down your USA membership ID as it is a required field for Little Colonels registration.
Membership cards do not need to be laminated and are not required to bring to each tournament. It can be looked up online if needed.

Wrestling shoes and headgear are required for all practices. As far as clothing, just comfortable/athletic apparel. Any color or brand is acceptable.
Street shoes are not allowed on the wrestling mats.
Some of our coaches recommend Cliff Keen brand headgear and Nike or ASICS brand wrestling shoes. Rudis is a top brand in wrestling, but tends to be more expensive than other brands.
Hygiene supplies (such as skin barrier cream/foam) are recommended for practices and tournaments to prevent skin infections. Defense and Kennedy KS are well known brands for wrestling.
Singlets will be provided for tournaments and are to be returned at the end of the season or can be purchased for $50. Your wrestler will need to bring their own headgear and shoes for tournaments.
- Machine wash their singlet using a cold, gentle cycle or hand wash with cold water.
- Wash their singlets individually, or with other lycra garmets.
- Air dry using a hanger.
- Do NOT put your singlet in the dryer.
- Do NOT iron your singlet.
- Do NOT dry clean, use bleach or fabric softener on your singlet.
Age and weight are used to create brackets and determine who your child will wrestle at tournaments.
We ask that each wrestler upload a copy of their birth certificate at registration in case proof of age is required at any time in the season.
No, tournament participation is voluntary but highly encouraged. The more tournaments your child attends, the more experience he/she will gain.
Encouraging your wrestler to participate in tournaments during the season not only helps build experience but provides an opportunity to watch them wrestle.
All tournament fees (excluding regional and state tournaments) are including in the registration fee so there will not be any additional costs to attend.
There will be a deadline to notify the team if your wrestler will be participating in any given tournament. Tournament hosts have registration closing dates that we must abide by to participate.
Due to limited spacing and to help all wrestlers focus on the coaching instructions, we ask that parents do not stay in the wrestling room for practices.
If your child has any special needs, please let us know after registering (email littlecolonelswrestling@gmail.com) so we can discuss accommodations.
The fee for all wrestlers this season is $175. This fee covers team participation, singlet rental, and all season tournament entry fees (only excluding regional and state tournaments). If a wrestler is unable to attend a tournament, their entry fee will be donated to the financial aid program.
Spectator fees vary depending on the team hosting the tournament.
We do offer a financial aid program to ensure that all children can participate regardless of financial status.
Financial aid applications must be submitted prior to registering online. Once approved, you will be provided a discount code to apply during registration.
We suggest applying as soon as possible if financial aid is needed. Once registration is full, we are unable to process financial aid requests for the season.
Practices are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30pm to 8pm with an optional practice on Fridays from 6:30pm-7:30pm as well. Youth tournaments are held on Sundays. Middle and High School tournaments are held on Saturdays.
